CASTAWAY Basic
Plaster or fiberglass
CASTAWAY Basic is a full day of hands-on casting and splinting in plaster of Paris or fiberglass. Every technique is demonstrated first, then you apply it on a partner and have it applied to you, so you learn the patient’s side too.
You’ll cover upper and lower limb splints, slabs and casts, how to hold a reduction, wound assessment and offloading, and assistive devices, finishing with an evaluation and one-on-one coaching.
