Registering & paying
- Your seat is held for 3 days after you register. Send your Interac e-Transfer with your booking reference in the message so we can match it.
- Your seat is confirmed once payment is received, and we email you a receipt.
- Prices are per participant in Canadian dollars. Registrations made within 14 days of a course may include a late registration fee, shown before you register.
- Departments and groups can ask for an invoice instead of individual e-Transfers.
Cancellations & refunds
- 14 or more days before the course: full refund.
- 7 to 13 days before: 50% refund, or move to a future date at no charge.
- Less than 7 days before, or no-show: no refund, but you can move to a future date once.
- Substitutions: you can send a colleague in your place at any time. Just tell us their name and email.
- If we cancel or reschedule a course, you choose a full refund or a seat at another date.
Refunds are sent by Interac e-Transfer within 10 business days. To cancel, email castawaycourse@gmail.com with your booking reference.
During the course
- Courses are hands-on: you'll apply casts and splints to a partner and have them applied to you. Tell the instructor about any injuries, skin conditions or sensitivities before you start, and you can sit out any part.
- Plaster gives off heat as it sets and casting materials can be messy. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dusty.
- Photos may be taken for CASTAWAY's website and social media. Tell the instructor if you'd rather not appear.
Certificates & CEU credits
A certificate of completion is issued to participants who attend the full course and complete the end-of-day evaluation. CASTAWAY is educational training. It doesn't change your scope of practice, so always follow your licensing body's standards and your employer's policies.
